New feature

The dashboard arrives: your servers, staff and ranks

The first working slice of the dashboard: a server picker, per-server overviews, and staff records you can add, change and remove with a rank hierarchy that matches your Discord roles.

Until now Axolix was driven almost entirely from Discord commands. The dashboard is live, starting with the parts that are painful to do in chat.

What you can do

  • See every server where you have access, with the ones the bot is already in separated from the ones it is not.
  • Open a server for an overview: member and online counts, staff count and plan.
  • Add, change and remove staff records, each with a rank that is a real Discord role.
  • Give each rank its own permissions.

Ranks follow Discord

Because a rank is a Discord role, renaming or recolouring it in Discord is reflected in the dashboard with nothing to re-sync. Deleting a role keeps the record and marks it as needing a new rank.

A bug worth mentioning

The first release of this shipped against a database that still had an older column name, so listing servers failed for everyone. A forward migration corrected it. If a migration has already run on a real database it is never edited in place — a new one is written instead, because the tooling will not re-run an edit to something it has already applied.
