Exactly which cookies the Axolix site sets, what they are for, and why there is no consent banner.

This document is not yet final
The details below are marked in the text as unconfirmed. They have deliberately not been invented, and each needs to be supplied or confirmed — with a qualified legal professional where appropriate — before this page is treated as final.
- Confirm the set of cookies Cloudflare currently issues on the domain, and name them here if you want the list to be exhaustive.
This page lists the cookies and similar storage the Axolix website uses. It is deliberately short: there is very little to report.
Cookies we set
- `axolix_session` — a strictly necessary session cookie. It holds an opaque session ID that lets the server recognise you as logged in. It is set as
HttpOnly,SecureandSameSite=Lax, which means JavaScript on the page cannot read it and it is only sent over encrypted connections. It expires after 7 days, or when you log out or delete your account.
Cookies we do not set
- No analytics cookies.
- No advertising or tracking cookies.
- No social media embeds.
- No third-party media players.
- No "remember me" or preference cookies beyond the session itself.
Third-party cookies
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set its own strictly necessary cookies as part of connection security and abuse protection (for example, cookies that help distinguish a browser from a bot). We do not control those and they are not used for tracking.
Logging in redirects you to Discord. Discord's own cookie policy applies while you are on their site; we do not set anything there.
Why there is no consent banner
Under PECR, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has asked for do not require consent. The only cookie we set is the session cookie without which logging in could not work, so no banner is shown and no tracking takes place in the background.
If that ever changes — if analytics or any non-essential cookie is added — a consent banner and an updated list on this page will come with it, before the cookie is set.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies at any time using your browser's settings. Doing so will sign you out of Axolix, because the session cookie is how the site knows who you are; nothing else is lost, and you can simply log in again.
